I hope to write a complete explanation for my recent move to supporting Fred Thompson this weekend, but in the mean time this excellent article will have to do. More on his website at Fred08.com—if you are still undecided in this race I’d recommend a good hard look at Senator Thompson.

I probably should wait for your longer post, Dakota, but I must admit that I’m a bit surprised at your decision. I just went to Thompson’s website and could only agree with his positions on tax reform and abortion. His other stances seem misplaced.
For example, he advocates a laissez faire approach to education and healthcare, but still claims he would provide affordable medicine and increased education. When it comes to energy and immigration, he abandons market principles in favor of narrow, nationalist protectionism.
Of course, none of the candidates is perfect, but I can think of better ones…
